How to play...

                                                  SHIP'S WHEEL CARD GAME TM
The OBJECT is to avoid and get rid of cards that are the same in Shape or Color so that nothing matches.
The WINNER will be the first to have cards that are all different in Shape AND Color (or use Wild Cards).
. To begin, deal 5, 6, 7, or 8 cards to each player, place the remainder of the deck in the center to draw from.
. Player on the left of the dealer goes first, drawing only one card from the top of the deck.
.  That player then discards one, face up.  (Each player will start their own discard pile, directly in front of them.)
After the discard, the turn ends.  Player on the left will go next, and the play goes clockwise.

Players choose to draw one card, either from the top of the deck OR the top card of any players' discards.

Try to avoid having cards that match in Color or Shape-- Wild Cards may be used to replace the Color/Shape
cards, but Wild Cards that match cannot be used to win.  (e.g., two matching Lighthouses will NOT count.)
When the White Starfish card (Go Again) is discarded, that player takes another turn, picking up a card.
When the Black Starfish card is discarded, the next player to the left is skipped, losing a turn.
When an Anchor card (Pass 1 Left) is discarded, every player passes one card to the player on the left, face down,
all at the same time.  Players will then pick up the new card passed to them and add it to their hand.
Anchor and Starfish cards cannot be picked up from any players' discards (they are out of play) but Wild Cards can!
When Anchor or Starfish cards are discarded to win, take no action.  (But they cannot be held in a winning hand.)

Dealers, on their turn, can decide how many cards will be dealt for that hand.   (Dealing hands of only 3, 4 or 5 cards will make it easier to learn.)
No card can be discarded without first picking up one card from the deck or the top of any one of the discard piles.
No card is required to be played right away-- any card may be held in a players hand to be discarded later.
If the draw deck runs out of cards, collect and reshuffle all of the players' discards, and place face down to pick from.

TIES:  If two or more players have a winning a hand, there is no winner.  The same number of cards is redealt by the next dealer to the left.  (Ties can happen on the deal, or when cards are passed to the left, or when a player discovers a winning hand after their turn has already ended.)  If the draw deck runs out a second timedo not reshuffle, it's a tie, and the deal passes to the next player.

KEEP SCORE:  1) Count one point for each card in the winner's hand, (e.g., to reach a goal of 50 or 100) or...
    2) Count most hands won.  Decide on a scoring method before starting.     (When playing with four or more players, deal six or less cards each hand, or use two decks.)

                                   Have fun!  Thanks for playing!
